The Engineering and Computer Technology Department began the Charles Wellard Engineering Lecture Series with guest speaker Steven Hussey, Owner and President of Hamlett Associates, Inc. Hamlett Associates is a well respected General Contractor employing over one hundred people serving clients throughout six southeastern states in the industrial and commercial markets. Mr Hussey, a resident of Robbins, is a 1977 graduate of the Civil Engineering Program at Sandhills Community College. He went on to UNC-Charlotte where he earned a BS in Civil Engineering and then completed his Master's studies at NC State University. The Civil Engineering Technology program at Sandhills offers an AAS with a 2+2 Transfer Articulation Agreement with UNC-Charlotte leading toward a BS in Civil Engineering Technology or a BS in Construction Management.
