Ms. Teresa Hardison and Dr. Danny McKenzie were honored as the 2008 Distinguished Alumni for Sandhills Community College at commencement ceremonies on May 10th. Both were presented with a crystal gift and spoke about their experience at SCC and what a difference their education has meant in their personal and professional lives.

Ms. Hardison is a middle school art teacher at Southern Middle in Southern Pines. Dr. McKenzie is the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Lander University in South Carolina. Dr. McKenzie was on the commencement stage when his daughter, Lauren, received her Management and Business Technologies Degree.
